Lula da Silva and Sunak “discussed their plans to strengthen cooperation to meet shared priorities such as expanding their work to protect the planet’s natural resources”, an official source revealed.
A British government spokesman added that the two politicians “underlined the importance of taking action to reverse forest loss and the President-elect updated the Prime Minister on his plans to transition to a biodiversity and green economy”.
In a phone conversation, the memo concluded, “the directors congratulated each other on the matches” of the soccer World Cup.
