In a country nearly a century old, it could not be more compatible: it began precisely in the land that hosts, among others, the largest museum of modern art in the Middle East – the famous Tel Aviv Museum of Art. In 1996, in the second city in Israel, at the hands and talent of a local jeweler, Magnolia Silver Jewelery was born, dedicated to the manufacture of artisanal jewelry, specifically in sterling silver.
As for the manufacturing design, the business innovators put together a concept that would prove ingenious: the limited edition, which consists of producing pieces that match only the number of points of sale, ensuring that customers of each store are assured of owning a unique gem in your area.
Diversity of the workspace, superior employees, and a diverse community of professionals who bring into our daily life a relaxed atmosphere but with unique interior help. It’s a great space for those who work there. Joanna de Oliveira Matthias, CEO of Magnolia.
The success of this trading strategy led to Magnolia’s ambitions. Thus, in 2006, it was bought by an investment fund, which will lead to the international expansion of the brand: Australia, Canada, the UK and several countries in continental Europe, including Portugal (where it arrived in 2008).
Currently, it has 10 points of sale located in the main shopping centers (from Colombo, to Armazéns do Chiado, via Cascaishopping and Arrábida Shopping or even in Leiria, Coimbra and Braga), it offers 3000 different items (plus limited editions, all months) and has A unit of 50-70 employees (depending on the time of year).
In an office location in Portugal, Magnolia prioritized the welfare of its employees and chose Cascais, since a large part of the team working at Headquarters lies in the respective line. Then, and in this field, the building fell to LACS, for the following reasons: “The versatility of the workspace, the highly helpful staff, and the diverse community of professionals who bring into our daily lives a relaxed atmosphere but with a unique interaction. It is a wonderful space for those who work there.” Joanna de Oliveira Matthias, CEO of Magnolia.
The future looks promising. This year, Magnolia has been acquired by the largest Israeli retail group, which expects to increase its points of sale and consolidate its leading global position in the handmade silver jewelry sector.
