French Polycorne Studios recently announced the release date for the full version of their game, Silicon City. The game, which is already in Early Access, introduces a new facet to CityBuilding (City Building and Management) games.
Silicon City is a game in the genre of CityBuilding, that is, a strategy game in which players build a city, manage it and turn it into a megalopolis.
The game is responsible for Gallic Polycorne Studios, which announced the final release date: June 22 this year.
Silicon City is trying to, in the words of officials, "Bringing a breath of fresh air and innovation to CityBuilding-type games, where all citizens matter and have a say".
Like any city, Silicon City has its residents. They are called Silizens and according to what is known from the game, they are unique individuals, that is, everyone has their own personality traits, their own needs, their own intimate feelings, opinions about what surrounds them and ... of course ... the ability to vote.
And this is important, because we are the mayor of Silicon City and it is important that the Silizens are satisfied and in a good mood, so that we can remain in the chair of power.
For this, there are many tools at our disposal that allow us to analyze the state of mind and moods of the citizens of Silicon City. Perhaps the most important tool is Bakr, a kind of Twitter implemented by the city that allows the study of the daily behaviors and profiles of each Silizen.
The Silizens do not hesitate to share their needs, as well as their dissatisfaction or even their dissatisfaction with the decisions of the mayor, in matters related to the development of the city, and in this way, the player must always be attentive.
On the other hand, it is also necessary to turn the city into a metropolis from which you can attract the Selezins to live there and make them stay there. In this way, there are more than 50 different types of buildings created for this purpose, but with the curiosity of being procedurally generated. In other words, there are hundreds of possible combinations when creating neighborhoods in our city.
There are several types of graphical analyzes that we can perform of our city and its neighborhoods. As in other games of this type, we can visualize land value, electricity grid coverage, and traffic, among many other things.
All this is important to prepare the neighborhoods to be more commercial and residential….
The ability to turn Silicon City into an attractive city for residents and businesses, along with satisfying Silizens, is key to a potential re-election.
June 22nd is the release date of the full version of the game.
