The Ministry of Health in Sidropolis will conduct a batch of tires at the bus station, on November 28, from 8 a.m. to noon. In addition, on the 26th, an event will be held in front of City Hall. These actions are part of the campaign to combat dengue fever.
“We are witnessing a moment of alert regarding dengue fever; the highest number of deaths from the disease in Santa Catarina. Health has a responsibility to alert and promote prevention, but cooperation is what makes the difference, we need to take care of everyone in homes and businesses,” said the Minister of Health, Janina Bertin Warmling🇧🇷
dengue fever
It is a febrile infectious disease caused by the arbovirus, one of the world’s major public health problems. It is transmitted by the bite of an infected female Aedes aegypti mosquito. Symptoms of dengue fever are: fever, headache, myalgia, arthralgia, retroorbital pain. Nausea, vomiting, and red spots on the skin may also occur. In some people, the disease can develop into severe forms, with hemorrhagic manifestations.
Persons who, in the last 14 days, have been in a city where Aedes aegypti or dengue is transmitted and display the above symptoms, should seek a health unit for evaluation.
