On Wednesday, December 6, seven higher education institutions signed a letter of partnership that puts into effect the implementation of the e4Nursing educational platform.
The partnership was signed between the Higher School of Nursing of Porto, the Higher School of Health of the Polytechnic Institute of Viana do Castelo, the Higher School of Nursing of the University of Minho, the Higher School of Nursing of Coimbra, the Higher School of Nursing of Lisbon, the Higher School of Health of the University of the Azores, and the Higher School of Health of the University of Madeira, And VirtualCare.
“This letter aims to make the e4Nursing platform available to institutions to implement it in the training of health professionals,” said the Escola Superior de Enfermagem do Porto, where the document was signed, which will enter into force until July 2025.
e4Nursing is a bilingual (Portuguese/English) web-based platform, oriented towards the nursing care design process, with an architecture based on the main stages of the clinical decision-making process and with a content structure aligned with the nursing ontology adopted by nurses.
This platform arose from research produced within the scope of CIDESI – the Center for Research and Development in Nursing Information Systems – of ESEP, one of 14 global centers accredited by the ICN (International Council of Nurses).
