Mining scientist and professor Cynthia Lopes Martins Pereira has been awarded the title of ‘Fellow’ of the Royal Society of Chemistry (RSC) or Royal Society of Chemistry, based in the United Kingdom. It is a very important organization dedicated to the advancement of chemical science. PhD in Science from the Federal University of Minas Gerais (UFMG) with an emphasis on Inorganic Chemistry, Professor Cynthia López Martínez Pereira, in general, has experience in the field of inorganic chemistry, mainly working on the synthesis and characterization of coordination. Study of composites, coordination polymers, molecular magnetism, supramolecular chemistry and magnetic properties.
Cynthia, who holds a master’s degree from Université Pierre et Marie Curie, also known as Paris VI University in Paris, France, has already served as a visiting professor at the University of California, Berkeley, USA between 2019 and 2020.
Prior to that, in 2017, he was awarded the UFMG Dissertation Award and CAPS Dissertation Award as a result of his work as supervisor of a doctoral thesis in Chemistry.
