The meetings are held by the Teaching and Research Center of FVS-RCP
Amazonas Health Surveillance Foundation – Dr. Rosemary Costa Pinto (FVS-RCP), associated with the Amazonas State Department of Health (SES-AM), resumed on Friday (25/03) monthly meetings with internal researchers at the foundation’s headquarters.
Through the Center for Teaching and Research (NEP/FVS-RCP), researchers meet for technical and scientific discussions on research and teaching applied to health monitoring with the aim of enhancing scientific production in the institution.
FVS-RCP Technical Director Daniel Barros highlights that it is essential to strengthen the scientific output of health surveillance. “FVS-RCP has health database management and it is possible to highlight indicators and discover trends. So, our strategy is to promote scientific work,” says Daniel.
According to the NEP Coordinator, Timoto Watanabe, researchers are working on different forms of research output. The curator highlights “we share other ways of funding and forms of research production, which can generate products that can be scientifically disseminated, but also lead to internal improvements.”
Research – The FVS-RCP Education and Research Center (NEP/FVS-RCP) aims to advance the institution’s scientific research. Among the lines of research developed by the panel of researchers related to health surveillance: “Hazard analysis and control in food and water”. Health Law; “Vaccine-Preventable Diseases”; “Surveillance for Non-communicable Diseases and Conditions” and “Surveillance, Environmental Epidemiology and Control of Endemic Diseases.”
Reference – FVS-RCP is the first public government institution in the country that combines epidemiological, environmental, sanitary and laboratory monitoring. The agency, for public service, operates Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., at Avenida Torquato Tapajós, 4010, Colônia Santo Antônio, Manaus.
