The State Department of Health (SES-RJ), at noon on Friday (11), received 76,000 doses of the Pfizer vaccine made available by the Department of Health’s National Immunization Program (PNI) to immunize children. 6 months to 2 years and 11 months and 29 days of age with comorbidities.
The batch has been sent to the SES General Storage Coordination (CGA), in Niteroi, where it will be available for municipalities to withdraw from 19:00 on Friday, by appointment.
On October 27, the Ministry of Health received the first batch of Covid-19 vaccines for children aged six months to under three years. The vaccines are produced by Pfizer and licensed by the National Health Surveillance Agency (Anvisa) for use in children 6 months to 3 years old.
Guidelines for application, target audience, and proportional distribution of vaccines by state and federal district were published by the Department of Health in Technical Note 114/2022-DEIDT/SVS/MS. The manufacturer’s suggested vaccination schedule is an initial series of three doses, in which the first two doses should be given four weeks apart, followed by a third dose at least eight weeks after the second dose for this age group.
On November 9, the Ministry’s Health Surveillance Secretariat (SVS) issued an official letter 242/2022, listing comorbidities:

Cardiovascular diseases, such as heart failure (HF) and congenital heart disease.
