The Department of Programs (Depro) and Surveillance of Non-Communicable Diseases and Diseases (Vigidants) – which are associated with the primary care and collective health agencies, respectively, of the Ministry of Municipal Health and Civil Defense of São Gonçalo, will participate in three events this week – two in reference to International Women’s Day, which were Celebrate it this Tuesday (8), and one for the general LGBTQIA+. This Tuesday (08), the activities will take place in Espaço Rosa, in Zé Garoto. In the space, the Women’s Health Program will provide a waiting room with unit patients to talk about health and prevention. “We will provide guidance about breast cancer, the importance of preventative care and regular visits to a gynecologist, for example. We will also ask questions about health services in the city,” said Amanda Gerrard, coordinator of Depro and Vigidants.
The Jardim Boom Retiro Residents’ Association will welcome Debro and Vegedants to chat with the LGBTQIA+ audience. There, they will be informed of their rights and the health services provided in the city. In addition to mentioning the use of Cras LGBTQIA + from São Gonçalo to solve various social problems.
To finish the week, the event will take place at the São Gonçalo Women’s Movement in Camarao next Thursday (10). “Women will be the protagonists of the entire movement. All actions will be carried out by women. We will be there to provide technical support, exchange ideas, provide answers and listen to your demands,” concluded Amanda.
