The project “Extracting Emotions as a Culture of Stress Reduction”, developed by the Hospital Distritos de Santarem (HDS), was one of the three winners of the third edition of the grant “Human Capital in Health” of the Portuguese Association of Hospital Directors (APA). This project aims, among other goals, to create a culture of sharing feelings between different professionals after working in a state of cardiorespiratory arrest (CPA), using listening techniques with the participation of all, and humanizing the physical space of the professional to improve conditions for sharing and meditation. In addition to improving the satisfaction of health professionals regarding the management of stress associated with the condition after cardiac arrest. The Human Capital in Health Scholarship is being awarded by APAH for the third consecutive year and aims to catalyze change in NHS health organizations and equip health professionals with the skills to take an effective leadership role in managing change. The three winning organizations will have access to a specialized advisory program that will allow them to accelerate the implementation of the Human Capital Transformation project. Ana Infante, Chairman of the Board of Directors, is proud to assign this award to the Hospital Distritos de Santarem and thanks all the professionals involved for their efforts and dedication to this project, which, she says, “will, without a doubt, contribute to improving the satisfaction of professionals in a context of stress”.
