Although it doesn’t seem like it, the world of technology doesn’t stop! Big companies are constantly working on new innovations, behind doors, in order to convince users to choose their ecosystem in the near future.
A great example of one such manufacturer, Samsung, which in addition to foldable smartphones also seems to have a big surprise ready to be admired on the part of smartwatches, is the devices known as smartwatches.
Samsung is working on a smartwatch with an ‘extendable’ screen
So, according to a new patent from Samsung, the South Korean giant is working on a new generation of smartwatches, with a foldable screen and, of course, a camera to facilitate video calls or meetings via Zoom / Teams / Meets. A very interesting design, considering that the mobile world is a bit “stuck in time”.
However, it is clear that such a device is still far from reality. However, it is very positive to see that manufacturers are starting to play more and more with the idea of doing more with what’s on our wrist. Including the consumption of multimedia content thanks to the large screen.
How will this watch work?
Apparently, it is possible to move the screen, increasing its size by up to 40% more, and this at the same time we also make room for the camera to appear and function, right in the middle of the screen.
Is this useful? Well… excellent question. We don’t know yet. But one thing is for sure, and that is to see innovation in the world of smartwatches. Moving them away from traditional wristwatches is undoubtedly excellent news, and something really necessary for this technological underworld.
