Samsung is preparing the biggest design change ever to its user interface for Galaxy smartphones and tablets.
The Korean manufacturer has been developing One UI 7 for a long time to be available in line with Android 15, but so far, information about the potential major changes of the new version has been scarce.
Well, the information released by Sam Mobile It refers to a “major” change in the design of the new version of One UI which, remember, is supposed to be officially introduced in October.
New icons on the way?
Sam Mobile echoes the information provided by the leaker. Ice Universe In your X account, where you mention that version 7 “could be the release with the most changes in One UI history.” The same leaker also suggests that these changes will include a new icon design.
Regarding the possible changes presented by the Hong Kong leaker, the same source recalls older information about the introduction of a kind of “vertical app drawer” in the new version of the interface.
Stable release in October
As 4GNews has already announced, the official presentation of One UI 7 is scheduled to take place on October 3, during the Samsung Developer Conference 2024.
According to Sam Mobile, the Korean manufacturer should start the One UI 7 Beta program for the Galaxy S24 and S23 models in the next two months, and by November, the final stable version of One UI will start rolling out to top Galaxy devices and some mid-range devices.
Samsung’s other mid-range smartphones and tablets are expected to receive One UI 7 in the first three months of 2025.
