Samsung is updating more and more devices to One UI 6.1, and the latest to receive the news could be the Galaxy A05s. This device started receiving the update recently, although it is currently still limited to some models in Africa.
With build code A057FXXU3CXE6, the update is around 2GB in size, and in addition to One UI 6.1, it also integrates Google’s latest security patch, as of May. This allows the system to be protected from the latest flaws discovered in Android.
The list of changes includes correcting 45 security vulnerabilities, whether in the Android system or in Samsung’s own interface.
Please note that this update does not include Galaxy AI functionality, which unfortunately is not available for this model’s capabilities. However, the update contains some interesting new features.
This includes the ability to copy and paste one image into another, as well as improvements to image cropping and editing, gallery search, and many other general improvements to the system.
At the moment, the update is still only available in a limited format to some locations in Africa, and it is unknown when it will reach more countries.
