With the aim of providing high-quality health care to the population, the state government, through the Health Department of Acre (Sisaker), promoted, on Friday, the 28th, a meeting to discuss the decentralization of specialized assistance (SAE) and the harmonization of flows and systems.
Representatives of the Acre State Hospital Foundation (Fundhacre), the Ministry of Health (MS) and the Acre State Health Board (CES/AC) participated in the meeting.
SAE, also known as the Hepatology and Tropical Diseases Unit, deals with diseases such as hepatitis, tuberculosis, AIDS and other liver diseases. The Unit has Infection Specialists, Pediatricians, General Practitioners, Gastroenterologists, Social Workers and a Dentist. Other activities carried out by SAE are therapeutic home care (ADT), scientific research by physicians and residents, as well as the provision of medication to patients undergoing treatment.
According to the Assistant Assistant Secretary of Sesacre, Ana Cristina Moraes, the meeting was proposed by the Health Surveillance Department and the Ministry of Health in relation to STDs in the state, with the service covered by the SAE.
“The Ministry of Health, as a supporter, has come to design the line of state care, so that we can carry out the decentralization already proposed by Sesacre, in the regional areas. Next Tuesday, the second, we will deliver a truck to the SAE, for the patients who are treated there “, highlighted Assistant Secretary Ana Cristina.
Duciana Araújo, Managing Director of Fundhacre, agrees that decentralization is essential. “We are partners with Sesacre, contributing to this build, because regulation is the way to go. We have a huge demand in municipalities and users will have access to their home lands, and we will help regulate that flow, make sure it works,” he explains.
“We monitor the allocation of resources that are being transferred to SAE and we believe that other problems will be resolved in the future,” said the technician of the Ministry of Health, Manuel Alves Braga, who specializes in planning and public administration. Resources for sexually transmitted diseases and infectious diseases (STIs).
The State Board of Health, represented by Chancellor Alvaro Mendez, explained the importance of the meeting. He concluded, “The oversight is in place at this moment to monitor the counterparty of the resources and to ensure that financial support and to supervise the use of the resources so that the people who are there finally get the service at the height they deserve.”
