The SAE/CTA (Service of Specialized Care – Testing and Counseling Center) of Guarapuava has been selected to participate in the project “Network for Prevention and Comprehensive Care of Diseases, Chronic Conditions and Sexually Transmitted Diseases”. Developed by the Ministry of Health in partnership with the Israelita Albert Einstein Hospital, the project aims to restructure the range of services advocated by the Department of HIV / AIDS, Tuberculosis, Viral Hepatitis and Sexually Transmitted Diseases (DVIAHV / MS), and to strengthen the role of the CTA in the network Health care and integration of care and monitoring procedures.
The goal of the project is to improve and expand the activities of the CTA, as explained by SAE Guarapuava nurse Angela Maria de Camargo. “This project is very important, because we will be mentoring, training and working with the latest in STD and HIV. It will be a great learning experience for us, and it will certainly bring many benefits to the population that our unit serves.”
The Paraná State Department of Health referred the SAE/CTA of Guarapuava to participate in the project and the CTA team was contacted to be one of the focal points for the program.
“We were approved. This is a fact that had never happened before, and it was the State itself that made it clear to us. The selection process for participation began with a questionnaire prepared by the team and sent to all CTAs in the state. After a pre-selection made by the Projeto Cuida CTA group, the Ministry of Health of Paraná recommended with Guarapuava CTA,” confirms Angela.
The project team consists of leadership, statisticians, administrators, data analysts, research observers, and clinicians. While the work is being carried out, the research control team and medical team will be closer to the Guarapuava CTA.
The team is waiting to find out and align project procedures with the new board of directors of DVIAHV/Ministry of Health, in order to organize an agenda of activities with CTA and directors. The work will be carried out in partnership with the Municipal Administration and Services Administration to restructure the CTA and expand the range of services recommended by the Administration for HIV/AIDS, Tuberculosis, Viral Hepatitis and STDs.
