On Saturday, the Russian Deputy Foreign Minister threatened the United States that it might attack its arms shipments to Ukraine, in places that the Russian army had taken control of for two weeks.
Sergey Ryabkov warned in an interview with the Canal de Pervi TV channel.
The minister made special reference to man-portable air defense systems and anti-tank missile systems.
Sergei Ryabkov also stated that the “security guarantees” that Russia demanded from the West, including a guarantee that Ukraine will never join NATO, are no longer valid.
The situation has completely changed. The question now is to put the goals of our leaders into action,” he said, referring to the “disarmament” of Ukraine called for by the Kremlin.
“If the Americans are willing, we can of course resume the dialogueHe added, explaining that Moscow is particularly prepared with regard to the START agreements to limit nuclear arsenals. “It all depends on Washington,” he said.
