With 277,741 doses applied as of Tuesday, Rio Grande do Sul has achieved 50% of the target set by the “National Polio Vaccination Campaign 2022”. The goal is to vaccinate 95% of children from one to four years, 11 months and 29 days with a total of 553,814. According to the state government, only 182 out of 497 municipalities in Rio Grande do Sul have actually reached the goal in Republika Srpska.
In Brazil, as of the same date, 4,952,411 children have already been vaccinated, which is 42% of the national target. The vaccination campaign will continue until September 30.
