Romanian airline Legend Airlines breathes new life into the classic 15.2-year-old Airbus A340-300 model. The aircraft, currently registered as F-WTAJ (msn 921), belongs to Airbus Financial Services and has been retired by Air Belgium. He is currently undergoing maintenance in Jordan, and when he is transferred to his base, he will receive a YR-LRB registration number.
According to the Romanian website BoardinPass.roBehind the company are partners Ramin Yuresh (55% stake) and Timor Shah Shehab (45%), who are both CEOs of Kam Air Afghanistan. Jörich is a Dutch citizen who ensures that the airline complies with EU ownership and control rules.
According to the Romanian website, Legend Airlines was certified in September 2021, but the Certificate of Air Operator (COA) included only one Cessna C172 aircraft.
However, the newcomer is silent about her business plan and only revealed that she plans to operate “direct long-distance services from Romania”, without specifying destinations or whether the flights will be scheduled or chartered. In the company’s plans, a second A340 will also be integrated soon.
