Cerci Flor da Vida, a cooperative providing support for people with disabilities based in Azambuja, has secured funding from the Recovery and Resilience Plan (PRR) to build the Center for Activities and Training for Inclusion (CACI), built into Community Health in Quinta das Rosas.
According to Cerci’s Chairman, Jose Manuel Franco, in statements to O Mirante, the support obtained through the application is 742,500 euros, and work will have to be completed to build CACI, with an answer for 30 users. By 2024, the project had already been completed and the foundation is now waiting for the specifications to be delivered so that it can tender for the award of the contract, which will also have the support of Azambuja City Council, estimated at 350 thousand euros. He added that work is expected to start by the end of 2022.
The Cerci Flor da Vida project was one of eight disability candidates in the provinces of Lisbon, Santarém, Leiria, Setúbal, Évora and Portalegre to receive PRR funding.
