We recently saw some news regarding a possible new movie by the great Nicolas Cage on Netflix. Which, to tell you the truth, seemed like a potential next big success for this streaming platform. However, things seem to have changed a bit and there is no longer much certainty that the project will get the expected views. Just and only due to the fact that it will only end up in some countries.
Therefore, we are talking about nothing short of Renfield. This film has a premiere date in Portuguese cinemas scheduled for April 27th. And if you are by no means the type who likes to head to the big screen and wait for a movie to be released here in Portugal on Netflix, the next best thing is to change your mind!
The end of an era! Netflix is ending!
Portugal is officially excluded for Netflix! but why?
So, as has happened many times, Universal movies tend to make their way to Netflix pretty quickly, but only in certain countries. For example, after some time in theaters, the movie will eventually be shown on Netflix Australia, Netflix Belgium, and Netflix in South Korea. No specific date has been disclosed.
As far as Netflix Canada is concerned, Universal movies are usually only received after 3 years. That’s a year more than what’s happening on Netflix in the UK, which is supposed to receive this movie around 2025.
Last but not least, if you still don’t know the story of this new movie, know that it tells the story of Count Dracula’s servant. So he decides to turn his life around when he falls in love with a bad-tempered traffic cop.
In short, it goes without saying that there are not even plans to release this project on Netflix in Portugal, which has apparently been taken down. At least not yet. But let’s wait and see what happens.
