A Police raided a farm in Essex, United Kingdom, where they seized 13 dogs suspected to be American Bullies XL. Eight of the 13 dogs were puppies.
The animals were taken to special kennels before being tested to determine their correct breed. As of February, it is a crime to sell, abandon, donate or breed an American Bully XL under the new law.
Owners were forced to sterilize their pets to prevent them from breeding. According to the Daily Mail, the searches took place following a tip-off. A 35-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of possessing and breeding a prohibited species. The man was released under investigation while veterinarians determined whether the dogs were in violation of the new law.
