A 34-year-old woman had been stealing items from a supermarket since April, and always used the same technique: she would buy a few items each time, always go to the express tellers where the customer checked himself in and “forgot” to check in everyone’s products. Michigan State Police arrested Tedigo Marie Fleam, 34, at home, after consulting CCTV records at a Walmart supermarket in Abena County, in the United States. But that only happened because when I was shopping, this Friday, October 21st, one of the same security team responsible for controlling the self checkout area suspected that she wasn’t registering all the products. It was checked, and many articles were not logged. The woman was confronted, denied stealing, protesting, and screaming, but ended up paying for the lost items.FOX TV network reveals. But this situation, combined with the fact that the woman is a regular customer, always using automatic checkout boxes, led the security guards to consult with video surveillance cameras. That’s when they discovered the regular thefts since April.
Police were called to the scene, analyzed the photos and ended up detaining the woman who was already in the house.
This was the second time in a short time that police arrested a customer for fraudulent schemes in supermarkets. Recently, two other customers were caught exchanging barcodes of more expensive products for other barcodes of other, cheaper products. Once again, they were caught using video surveillance camera analysis.
