This climate of expectations is over: Sony Finally announced PlayStation Showcase 2023. The event will be held online on May 24, 17:00 GMT, bringing great news from the gaming world and the future of PS5 and PS VR2.
According to the Japanese company, the show will last one hour, focusing on “PlayStation 5 and PlayStation VR2 games in development by major studios around the world.” There will be news of creations from PS Studios, as well as titles from third-party companies and independent producers.
To watch the event, internet users can access the official PlayStation channels at Youtube or in twitch. Still according to Sony, streamers who will be rerunning the show should pay attention to copyrighted content – so they don’t suffer the famous “hit”.
This is our first PlayStation show since September 2021 – since then we’ve had multiple versions of State of Play, but none of the online events that are Japan’s biggest.
What do you expect from PlayStation Showcase 2023?
So far, the Japanese company has not revealed the lineup for the event. However, it’s already possible to speculate about the reveal of a Mortal Kombat reboot, as well as a new trailer for Marvel’s Spider-Man 2. More hopeful fans are also waiting for information about Marvel’s Wolverine or the multiplayer standalone game of The Last of Us.
