On Monday morning, the 27th, the Attorney General of the Municipality, Fernando Madruga Filho, represented the Attorney General of Aracaju, Sidney Amaral Cardoso, at the public hearing on the public-private partnership project in the field of health in the capital, Sergipe. , held in the City Council of Aracaju (CMA). On this occasion, the meeting was attended by the unions of health professionals and parliamentarians.
Through the project, the Municipality of Aracaju seeks to modernize the infrastructure to strengthen the primary care network and improve the provision of free and comprehensive service to the Aracaju community based on the public-private partnership model. Among the benefits are the expansion of primary care coverage in the municipality, as well as an increase in the infrastructure for specialized services.
Speaking at the podium, Municipal Advocate Fernando Madruga Filho explained the nature of public-private partnership and the benefits of better provision of health services to the population. “It is important to stress that the public-private partnership is a tool already used by the municipality of Aracaju in the public lighting service and that what is needed is a more efficient performance of the health services in the capital. This is not a privatization, but a concession that has been going on for more than 25 years to provide continuity in health care Good initial, equipment modernization, construction and renovation of units, which the City Hall does not have the financial capacity to implement immediately, ”says Fernando Madruga.
In continuation of this, the Municipal Attorney General strengthened the legitimacy of the PPP and the importance of discussing the issue. “I would like to thank my colleagues for the clarifications provided, as well as for the discussion and presentation of views on the feasibility of this project, which aims to improve the service provided to the population,” he said.
