Regional Secretary of Health and Civil Protection, Pedro Ramos, accompanied by the head of the RAM Health Service, Herberto Jesus, the head of the Institute of Health Management, Bruno Freitas, and the head of the Regional Service of Civil Protection, Antonio Nunes, traveled today to Porto Santo.
The work agenda includes a meeting with the President of the Municipal Council of the Golden Island, Nuno Baptista, and with Roberto Silva, Deputy Regional Financial Secretariat in Porto Santo.
It is also scheduled to visit the local pharmacy and citizen service centre, where all processes related to reimbursement for healthcare work are carried out.
Also scheduled in the morning is a visit to Lar de Nossa Senhora da Piedade.
In the afternoon, work will focus on the facilities of the Porto Santo Health Centre, where leaders will liaise with health professionals and the EMIR team on duty in Golden Island.
Before returning to Funchal, it is planned to visit the fire station as well as the ongoing works related to the construction of the new local health unit in Porto Santo, an investment by the regional government of more than four million euros, with completion scheduled for 2025.
