From 2018, Paula Lindenberg, CEO of AB Info, will make a difference in her life in the United Kingdom, Ireland, Spain and the Canary Islands. From January, this expert will be the head of Diageo for Paraguay, Uruguay and Brazil (PUB), in the process of transformation of the local leadership of the beverage company, which owns brands such as Johnny Walker, Doncore, Smirnoff and Yapioca.
With the change, Paula ended a more than 20-year cycle in Ambe, where she has held several leadership positions for the group’s brands in Brazil and other markets. He began his career at Johnson & Johnson, and a year later joined Unilever. Later, he worked for Philip Morris, and in 2001, he joined Ambe to work at Skolin Marketing. He held a leading position in Ecuador, again in Brazil, where he captured the marketing of Brahma and later, Ambe’s premium brands. He was promoted to Intelligence President throughout the company, Global Vice President of Intelligence, and later Global Vice President of Marketing. In 2019, he moved to the UK when he took over as chairman of the Budweiser in the UK. In 2020, he became CEO of AB Info’s UK, Spain, Ireland and Canary Islands operations. In 2015, Paula was one of the most honored women to visit Brazil.
Diageo’s leadership in all three countries has been vacant since the beginning of November, when he was head of the company in the region Gregorio Gutiérrez was transferred to lead the operation in southern Europe. Diageo said at the time that the new names for the presidency of Brazil, Uruguay and Argentina would be announced soon.
In addition to the new chairman, Diageo also announced other changes in leadership positions in the PUB region. As of January, Daniela de Fiori, Director of Corporate Relations for the PUB Region, who has worked with the company for three years, serves as Director of International Campaigns for Latin America and the Caribbean. This operation will be performed by a professional directly from Sao Paulo.
Marketing leadership in Brazil, Uruguay and Paraguay is also undergoing changes. To run the area, Diageo chose Patricia Borges, who has more than 20 years of experience in the division and has worked for companies such as Unilever, Mandalay and L’Iriel. Patricia is also the President of the Mobile Marketing Association (MMA) in Brazil.
Finally, Manola Mendes was elected to take over the Reserve Board for the region of Paraguay, Uruguay and Brazil. With 20 years of experience, Manola has been the Chairman of iguetmi Group’s iRetail, representing international brands.
