Spotify is a music and podcast streaming platform
NS spotify This Tuesday, 31, it launched the streaming platform’s music compatibility tool, known as match. The function is aimed at finding a mixture between what the user and friends hear in common – similar to what the Last.fm social network does, but without suggesting new content.
The platform promises to create a custom playlist for each user who merges with a friend, generating possibilities based on what each person hears. At the end of the match, there will be a score to show how similar the tastes of the users are.
In addition, it will be possible to share the score and playlist on social networks, such as Stories, on Instagram. The new hardcover will be available for easy access.
Spotify (premium) subscribers will be able to see specifically what genres of music contributed to the group’s score, and can “claim” the flair for themselves – if one friend introduces one artist to another, for example.
How to activate Spotify’s Match
In the smartphone app, the feature can be turned on from the Made for You hub via the Create Match button. On the screen, it is possible to invite friends to the group, who must accept the message. After that, the system will create a playlist and it will be displayed on the screen of both users.
