A British factory in Sunderland has been selected by Nissan to produce three new “electrics” derived from prototypes revealed at the Japan Motor Show.

Both car factories and three battery manufacturing facilities will be powered by that own network.

Prototypes provide clues
The three new electric cars are a logical sequence of three models currently manufactured at Nissan Sunderland.
The future electric Nissan Qashqai will be based on the sill-out revealed in 2021, while the electron-powered Juke will be derived from the HyperBunk.
The third-generation Leaf, Nissan’s debut in electromobility, will have the Hyper Urban as its source of inspiration.
If the lines of the three prototypes seem far from reality, it is certain that the three future “electrics” will have a more unified aesthetic.
And don’t forget the new Nissan Micra, based on the revived Renault 5 e-Tech Electric, this time made in France.
