Mota-Engil has reached an agreement with Duna Aszfalt to sell Mota-Engil Central Europe (MECE), operating in Poland, and its engineering, construction and real estate merchandising subsidiaries, the group announced today.
“Mota-Engil, within the scope of its business development strategy focused on key markets identified in the “Building 26” strategic plan, and evaluating the financial opportunity resulting from the connections promoted within the scope of opportunities jointly studied by the two groups, has reached an agreement with [empresa húngara] “Donna Aszfalt sells MECE and its subsidiaries in the fields of engineering, construction and real estate promotion,” says Mota-Engel in a statement.
The deal will be executed for an “enterprise value” of approximately €90 million.
The deal, which depends on obtaining various licenses from local authorities, as well as financiers, is expected to be completed by the end of the first half of 2024.
Through this sale, Mota Engel will strengthen its “selective strategy” in allocating its investments, thus increasing the “concentration of core (core) businesses in countries with the greatest growth and potential,” as well as strengthening its financial position. Statement, progress.
