The third edition of the International Conference on Health and Inclusion begins today, at the ISAL Hall, and continues until tomorrow. This is an initiative of the Raquel Lombardi Cultural and Social Solidarity Association – ACSSRL, in partnership with the Higher Institute of Management and Languages - ISAL, that brings together 20 speakers from five countries, who address the theme ‘Health and community participation: promoting active participation’.
Brazil, Italy, Lithuania, Poland and Portugal are the home countries of the panel of speakers, made up of researchers, educators and professionals from the health or social economy sectors. The opening lecture will be delivered by Fabrizio Bon Vecchio, lawyer, higher education teacher and President of the Ibero-American Institute of Compliance (Brazil), and Karen Dias Islar, lawyer, professor of higher education and Chair of the Compliance Committee of the Bar Association (Brazil)) who will address the topic “Compliance in the field of health”.
Daniele Trevisan (Italy) will present the European project INCLUDME, co-financed by Erasmus+, which addresses supporting communities to promote inclusion, in particular through digital tools and the development of innovative learning methodologies. The Raquel Lombardi Association is a regional partner in this project. Speaker Ewa Litwinczuk (Poland) will also present the “Austis Music” project on music therapy for people with autism.
Speakers also include researchers and educators from ISAL, the event’s partner entity: Bruno Freitas, Diogo Goes, Eduardo Alves, Luis Sardinha and Sancha de Campanella.
Raquel Lombardi, chair of the event and president of the ACSSRL, highlights “the social responsibility mission that this event carries” and unveils “projects that promote social inclusion in the educational context and by providing an open space for discussion and reflection on best practices of education management”. Diogo Goz will address the topic “Contribution of plastic expressions to social inclusion and active ageing”, based on the experiences developed within the scope of the Mail Art for Seniors project, developed in collaboration with the Raquel Lombardi Association and Casa São José. Eduardo Alves will hold his lecture on “Workers’ well-being and free time for volunteering: a brief analysis of the legal framework for work and time available for family and social issues.” Luis Sardinha will address the topic “Smart Health”, reflecting the contribution of new digital tools to the health sector. Sancha de Campanella, lawyer and deputy director, will speak. ISAL Year, on “Gender Equality and Health at Work: Contributions of Women’s Leadership to Health Institutional Management and Social Inclusion”.
Among the regional speakers and professionals in the fields of health and inclusion, we stand out as a specialist in general medicine and family medicine and researcher Leticia Abreu, who will address topics related to the fields of sexual health and health literacy.
