The dengue vaccine will initially be given to children aged 10 to 11 years, as directed by the Ministry of Health.
The City of Mogi das Cruzes, through the Municipal Health Department, will begin offering the dengue vaccine in all health units starting this week. In 17 of the 20 health centres, the dose will be administered from Monday to Friday, from 9am to 3pm, while weekly service will be available at three sites (Villa Morais, Conjunto Santo Angelo and Sabona). Family health strategy units will serve the registered public.
Qdenga vaccine doses are currently intended for children and adolescents ages 10 to 11 years. To receive the dose, the teenager must come with his or her personal document and that of the accompanying guardian; Routine vaccination booklet; Proof of address or SIS card. The vaccine is contraindicated for people with immunosuppressive diseases or immunosuppressive treatments, organ transplantation, HIV/AIDS), pregnant and lactating women.
