Microsoft will soon complete the purchase of Activision Blizzard King, and the owner of Call of Duty knows that there is a huge desire among Game Pass subscribers for Diablo 4 and Modern Warfare 3 on the service, especially the launch next November, which may be the first appearance.
However, the company decided that the best thing would be to share an official statement explaining that the first Activision Blizzard games for Game Pass will be arriving soon, but that these last two releases are not part of the 2023 slate.
“It’s great to see excitement around Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3. We’re working toward legal approval for the deal with Microsoft and are taking questions about whether our upcoming and final releases will be available on Game Pass.”
The company added: “Although we have no plans to put Modern Warfare 3 and Diablo 4 on Game Pass this year, once the deal is completed, we hope to start working with Xbox to bring our games to more players around the world.”
“We hope to start adding games to Game Pass sometime over the next year.”
Activision Blizzard does not talk about specific names for the first batch of games on Game Pass and refers to 2024, but recent reports from subscribers showed messages about Call of Duty games as part of Game Pass soon.
