a Mercadona is preparing to open up to Twenty-second store in the national territory. The Spanish brand will open its doors on July 13, in the Parish of Lourdillo do Oro, in Porto.
This new supermarket is located on Rua Diogo Botelho (entrance to the car park of Rua da Pasteleira, No. 219), and will create 65 new jobs in town, all stable and quality”, says the supermarket chain, in a statement sent to the editorial rooms.
The supermarket in question will have an area of 1,900 square meters and will respond to the company’s efficient store model, “with wide aisles allowing ‘bosses’ (customers) a convenient and safe shopping experience.”
The store will have 240 parking spaces and will also include 10 electric vehicle charging spots.

The first Mercadona store opened in Portugal on July 2, 2019.
The brand plans to open nine stores in the country this year, with an investment of 150 million euros and will recruit 600 people, “always with an effective contract from day one”.
