NASA and the European Space Agency just releasedThe first pictures of Mars were taken by the James Webb Space Telescope (JWST). According to space agenciesrecordings Provides a “unique perspective” of the red planetbut it is very different from other impressive images taken by the super telescope.

Images in the gallery show a surface reference map from NASA and the Mars Orbiter Laser Altimeter (MOLA) on the left, with two fields of view of the Webb NIRCam instrument superimposed. Webb’s near-infrared images are shown on the right.

This makes it difficult to take pictures, as super telescope instruments have been developed to detect the faint light from distant galaxies.
