Maringa City Council is making a joint effort to combat dengue in the Conjunto Requião region
The municipal administration continues measures to prevent and control dengue fever. This Saturday, the 27th, from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m., Endemic Disease Control Agents (ACEs) are making another joint effort of residence inspections. The event will take place in Conjunto Residencial Requião I and II, in the stretch between Avenida Guaiapó and Rua Almerinda Silveira Coelho and between Rua Arlindo Urgnani and Rua Arziro Moreschi. The area has approximately 1,300 properties and over 2,400 residents.
In addition to home inspections, teams from the Urban Cleaning Division (CELRP) will intensify cleaning at the bottom of valleys and at points where there is irregular garbage disposal in the northern area of the city. Improperly disposed waste is an ideal breeding ground for mosquitoes that transmit dengue fever.
The community can help combat illegal disposal and report cases. Complaints must be submitted through the municipal ombudsman in the Ombudsman 156 Maringá application, on the website or by calling 156. It is important that the complainant collects as much information as possible, such as photos, videos and license plate, so that the offender can be identified and fined.
To strengthen the inspection procedures, next week, between Monday, the 29th, and Friday the 2nd, the Ministry of the Treasury (Sefaz) will assess real estate in violation of the law in the Conjunto Requião area.
