Marcia Brea is sad and disappointed by the premature end of the series “Papel Principal” on SIC. Low ratings justified the early end of the project, which was supposed to finish recording in February next year.
“Not only am I sad, I think the way they did it was not elegant. I found out via email,” the 79-year-old actress tells JN, on the sidelines of the Gala dos Sonhos of the Sara Carrera Association, without hiding her spirit. Good humor: “Besides, I’m a beetle with my own dungeon.” It was a pleasure to understand what was written, otherwise at this point I would still have thought I was in the series!
Marcia Brea regrets the plot’s ending and believes the decision “was hasty” because “the ratings were going up.”
The actress finds another justification for ending the project: “Everything is produced serially: the ‘evil flower’ ends, the ‘good flower’ ends, the ‘lotus flower’ ends, and the ‘lotus flower’ ends.” “Cactus is coming to an end… This series was made with a different intention and many things were funny,” he adds.
Collapse in personal finances
Marcia Pria just recorded the song “Fernanda Peixoto” on Wednesday. “It’s always difficult. When a person reaches 79, everything is thrown out and this time I’m so sorry. It was a great team, cameras, wardrobe, they treated me like I was their grandmother!”
The actress also admits that she will face a hole in her personal finances. “One guy is thinking about receiving his contract by February, and suddenly, he’s told he’s going to spend Christmas with his kids, which is a bit expensive. I can’t complain too much yet, but it’s very difficult and there are a lot of people out there with young kids.”
After the series, Marcia Brea will continue recording the film that she left midway and does not complain about the lack of work. But he does make one observation: “When we get old no one cares much. What we need is another kind of youth.”
