This Tuesday, April 5, another “Josha” program, presented by Manuel Luis Josha, was broadcast on TVI. The first guest of the afternoon was Katarina Amaral, a young woman who was in attendance to give her inspiring testimony as the loss of her adoptive mother, a lung cancer victim, after six years of struggle.
At one point, Katharina Amaral remembered that her mother left in June 2021, and that the last nine months of her life were spent with her at home.
“I’ve spent the past few months with my mother at home watching the daytime shows, which she hated, and I thought were sexy, and of little interest, and I thought these had no content at all. He totally changed her mind… I wanted to see everything because they were such inspiring stories and they were keeping her company and I must really thank Manuel for that because he kept my mum company which I can’t even imagine”Katrina Amaral said.
“My mother would see stories similar to hers (…) and the program would end and she would say ‘I can do that too’…’he added.
Moved by the words, Manuel Luis Josha ended up “opening his heart” live: “I’ll try not to move… You know I’m having two great years Since I started this program (…), it is a completely different program, and it comes at a different stage in my life (…) I finally had the privilege of being able to talk on TV for a long time (…) I learned to listen”He started by saying.
The 67-year-old presenter admitted that he sometimes finds himself thinking about the usefulness of this type of program, and that it is these testimonials that make him “calm down” his fears, and show that he is grateful.
“Many times (…) I go home to question my work and this kind of program, I always try, in an elegant way, not to prospect, I have a lot of respect for other people’s pain (…), I always try to research the pain, I have limits, and the masses for me do not justify everything (…) And the best answer I can get to my fears, when I get home, are phrases like those of your mother.”
“Thank you very much because today it makes sense for me to be here to do this programme.”he added.
