David Mauricio, who was nominated for 11 weeks in this edition of Big Brother, ended up being evicted. After three months in the country’s most watched house, David Mauricio “died on the beach”, as they now say, leaving the competition with 30% of votes.
David Mauricio was present this afternoon, on the program “Goucha” where he evaluated his performance in this edition of Big Brother 2024. The former competitor spoke about his adolescence, the reason for participating, his relationship with Daniela Ventura and much more.
The former rival began by explaining why he wanted to beat the Portuguese throughout his performance: «I feel like I’ve charmed the Portuguese. I once said at home that I didn’t dream of getting in, it was a dream I had come true inside. It was a dream I didn’t know I had. I had a dream of winning the show and beating the Portuguese.David Mauricio also ensured that he was able to win the public’s support thanks to his values:I had the patience to be very calm and to be taken into consideration. I had a good ability to argue and be myself. I always wanted to show who David was.».
In the middle of the conversation, David Mauricio talked about his expulsion and confirmed that he did not expect to be the fifth qualifier:I didn’t expect it. Everything fell out of my hands. There were four people who thought it was a joke. As soon as Paige told me I was leaving, it shocked me. It cost me a lot.».

Regarding the relationship he has established with Daniela Ventura, Manuel Luis asked José David Mauricio if he was “using” the rival in a match.
David Mauricio guarantees:I needed Daniela a lot emotionally. I never thought I would miss home so much. Daniela was a turning point there. She started to love me and I started to love her (…) There are a lot of things I don’t agree with. It’s a double-edged stick. When they say I need Daniela for the game, I needed her emotionally. I needed that call because otherwise I wouldn’t have lasted long».

Regarding the future of the “relationship” with the Muslim woman, the fifth qualifier explained:I really loved Daniela, and I wanted to be home with her. So we have to find a good consensus, and find a line that unites us.».
