The Regional Financial Secretariat, through the Regional Development Institute as the Madeira 2030 governing body, has just launched a call notice to support the construction of the new Local Health Unit in Porto Santo.
This notification is part of Goal 4.5 of Madeira 2030 and aims to provide the island of Porto Santo with a local health unit, with greater response capacity and expansion of services offered to users – consultations, permanent care service, hospitalizations, treatments, especially dialysis. . Furthermore, the building will be energy efficient, with primary energy demand reduced by at least 20% compared to NZEB (nearly zero energy buildings) requirements, according to a press release.
He adds that the regional government reinforces the importance of this investment, which will allow health services to better respond to new epidemiological challenges in Porto Santo, replacing the current health center, which has exhausted its capacity for expansion and modernization.
“The notification includes a global allocation of €14.1 million, 85% of which is financed by the European Regional Development Fund (about €12 million),” the statement also said.
The notification comes in the form of an invitation to the Regional Secretariat for Equipment and Infrastructure, as the public body responsible for constructing public infrastructure. The period for submitting applications ends on July 10, 2024, and ends in the same way. NB.
