CES is one of the largest and most important technology fairs in the world, and it usually expects some major innovations in automotive technology.
This year, hundreds of exhibitors unveiled their latest products and cutting-edge innovations. BMW announced the futuristic i Vision Dee electric car, while Sony and Honda showed off their prototype Afeela car, integrated with technology from Epic Games to provide the latest in entertainment, connectivity and safety.

1. Mercedez-Benz introduces immersive Dolby Atmos sound technology
You can find sound of this quality only in the best cinemas, or by purchasing expensive speakers or headphones. But an immersive Dolby Atmos experience is something else entirely. However, the sound does not come from right or left, but from all sides, and of unimaginable quality. The equipment will be available on the luxury Mercedes-Benz Maybach model.

iVision Dee is a futuristic electric sedan with a digital assistant, augmented reality windshield and color-changing technology. The exterior of the car is equipped with individually controlled electronic segments: you can choose one color or several. But the most interesting gadget is the fully digital windshield with mixed reality. You can choose how much digital content you see while driving, which includes traffic information, communications, augmented reality projections, and virtual worlds.

3. The electric car from Sony and Honda has Qualcomm technology
The launch of the Avila, the electric sedan from Sony and Honda, was one of the sensations at the show. The partnership worked as follows: Honda provided the vehicle’s engineering and after-sales service, while Sony provided the technology side, including all of the electronics, sensors, and infotainment. On the dashboard of the electric vehicle there is a screen that can be used to display information about other cars and pedestrians. What is new, however, is that the entire vehicle is equipped with cameras and sensors that detect objects and provide an experience similar to that of self-driving. Inside the car, the interface and entertainment are provided by Qualcomm and Epic Games.

4. Amazon creates a camera that visualizes the interior and exterior of a car
Amazon Ring specializes in creating home and office cameras to ensure security as well as track package arrivals or other activity. But at CES 2023, he showed how he could do just that for customer cars. The Ring Car Cam can shoot while the car is stationary or in motion. Although the device stores videos locally, it can also connect to Wi-Fi, so you can upload footage wherever you want. You can also opt in and keep the cameras connected at all times, in case someone steals the car.

6. Nvidia introduces its own gaming platform for select cars
GeForce Now, Nvidia’s cloud gaming service that gives users access to popular games like Fortnite and Apex Legends, is coming soon to cars. During its presentation at CES 2023, Nvidia announced a partnership with Hyundai Motor Group, Polestar, and BYD to integrate the gaming platform into various internet-connected vehicles. It will be possible to play on displays created by Nvidia, or on other devices connected to the car.

7. Google releases an update for its Android Auto
The new version focuses on navigation, communication and music. Maps are now closer to the driver’s seat, making them easier to see. There is also a widget that allows the driver to access any application more quickly on a shared screen. The Google Assistant provides services like sharing access time, replying to messages, and reminders of new music or podcasts. For those who have the latest Pixel or Samsung mobile phones, it will soon be possible to make WhatsApp calls with the Google system.
