LATAM Airlines will suspend flights between Lima and London from February 2 to March 30 due to “operational adjustments”.
“Flights during this period and subsequent dates will be closed for sale on the computer until further notice,” the airline said in a statement quoted as saying.Travel Weekly”.
LATAM flights between Lima (Peru) and London (United Kingdom) were launched in early December, with five flights per week on a Boeing B787 aircraft, 30 seats in premium business and 270 seats in economy. Click to read: LATAM to fly between London and Lima from December
When the new route was announced in August, it represented a “historic milestone for LATAM Airlines” as it became “the only airline to connect Peru directly to the United Kingdom”.
Flights last around 12 hours, departing London at 10:30pm and arriving in Lima at 6:35am local time the following day. Flights depart Peru at 9pm and arrive in the UK at 2pm the following day.
Passengers with flights in February and March can be connected on its London Heathrow – São Paulo route or from London to Iberia via Madrid, the airline told travel agents.
