According to a memo from the Ministry published on the digital platform Facebook, the “Ukrainian defenders” “successfully” carry out a counterattack in Kharkiv, carried out by the 127th Brigade of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
On the other hand, the Supreme Military Command of Ukraine adds that the “enemy” (Russian forces) is concentrating its efforts to maintain its positions in the region.
The same note states that the Russian army continues its offensive in the eastern zone of operations of Ukraine, towards Donetsk, where it has attacked military and civilian infrastructure and is “preparing” for another offensive in the Izum region.
According to the same source, Russian forces consolidated their control of the border between Ukraine and Russia – in the Bryansk and Kursk regions – and attacked the civilian infrastructure in the towns of Duvinki, Russky-Tehki, Ternova and Petrevka with artillery.
According to the same Ukrainian state information, “intensive attacks” by Russian artillery and combat aviation continue in Mariupol, in particular in the area of the Azovstal plant where the last Ukrainian stronghold is located in the coastal city.
In the past 24 hours, Ukrainian defense units claimed to have shot down “11 enemy air targets: two helicopters (Ka-52 and Mi-28), seven UAVs (operational and tactical UAVs) and two cruise missiles.”
The Ukrainian army also notes that sixteen Russian attacks in areas near Donetsk and Lugansk have been neutralized and that three tanks, an artillery system, and six armored personnel carriers have been destroyed.
This is military information from Kyiv that has not yet been confirmed by independent sources.
