Thursday (26th) Spacey was formally charged with four counts of sexual misconduct following a police investigation in London, England.
According to the ABC News Network, in a statement sent exclusively to the “Good Morning America” show, he said he hopes the artist can prove his innocence.
The allegations were made by three people, including four separate incidents that allegedly took place 17 years ago.
“I am very grateful for the report of the Crown Prosecution Service, in which they carefully reminded the media and the public that I deserve a fair trial and that I am innocent until proven guilty,” he said on the show through a spokesman.
“I am disappointed in their decision to go ahead. I hope that as soon as it is organized I will voluntarily appear in the UK and defend myself against these allegations, which will prove my innocence.”
