The Infanta María Francisca de Braganca, daughter of Duarte Pio de Bragança and Isabel de Heredia, is engaged. The announcement was made on the social networks of the Duke of Bragança through a statement.
“Their Royal Highnesses, The Dukes of Bragança, are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter, Her Highness the Infanta D. María Francisca de Bragança, Duchess of Coimbra, and Mr. Duarte de Souza Araujo Martínez,” the statement read.

“The Infanta D. Maria Francisca has informed Their Royal Highnesses, the Dukes of Bragança and other members of her family. More details about the wedding day will be announced in due course,” he concluded.
The same statement reveals details about Duarte Martins. He is 30 years old and is the great-grandson of architect and sacred art painter João de Souza Araujo. He holds a Bachelor of Laws from Universidad Católica Portuguesa and an LLM (Banking and Finance Law) from Queen Mary University of London.
