Britney Spears has been highly critical of her father, James Spears, and sister, Jamie Lynn Spears, and her “supposed support network”. In a long text, circulated on social media, the singer stated that the guardianship of her heritage – for 13 years under the responsibility of her father – “destroyed” her dreams and that she did not “like” her sister to sing her songs during the delivery. The “Princess of Pop” also criticized people who judge her posts on social media, including her dancing videos. “For those who choose to criticize my videos…look, I’m not going back to the stage in the near future where my dad controls what I wear, say or think. I’ve done this for the past 13 years,” he said.
He added, “I’m not going to wear heavy makeup and try to try on stage again without being able to do it.” The 39-year-old revealed that she “begged to bring new music to fans”, but the guardianship does not allow it. “Then I resign,” he stressed.
“I don’t like appearing at award shows and doing my remixes. My supposed support network hurt me so much. This state killed my dreams,” he said.
Britney Spears’ father was named her legal guardian in 2008 after the singer was hospitalized for psychiatric treatment after a nervous breakdown. At the first court session, on June 23, the artist revealed that she was “psychologically traumatized” and that guardianship “became abusive.”
