Benfica, Porto and Oliverense were the only Portuguese teams to win this round of the Hockey Champions League.
In the second group with Sporting, the Reds beat Spaniard Reus 4-2 in Luz. They went into the break trailing 1-0, but an excellent start to the second half allowed them to take the lead, with Pablo Alvarez, Lucas Ordonez and Gonzalo Pinto scoring for a 3-1 lead. Reus still pulled the deficit back to a minimum, but Carlos Nicola tried to give the Eagles another break, who lead Group B alone due to the Lions' draw with fellow Spaniards Calafell.
Thanks to goals from Nolito and Alessandro Verona, the Lions were 2-0 up, but they allowed the visitors to recover. Sporting occupies second place in the group with 4 points, the same as its opponent on Thursday, and two points behind Benfica. Like the Lions, the Reds have played one fewer game than Calavell and Ruiz.
In Group C, Porto went to Catalonia to defeat Lleida 2-1, with goals from Rafa and Helder Nunes. The Blue and White occupies first place with 6 points, as a result of two wins and one defeat, accompanied by Italian Trissino, who defeated Seb Tomar 4-2.
In Group D, Olifrense recorded their third win in three matches, defeating Italians Amatori Lodi 3-2: Bruno Di Benedetto, Faco and Xavi scored the goals for Oliveira de Azimes' side.
The other Portuguese team in the match was Óquei de Barcelos. Minho's team lost to Barcelona 3-1, and lost in the third match the first points in Group A, which the Blaugrana leads with a record number of victories.
