With the aim of promoting humane care in the health sector, the Santarem Municipal Hospital Dr. Alberto Tolentino Sotelo (HMS) promoted the first edition of bai digua moment, A regional breakfast will be held monthly with the participation of the three most highly praised employees of the month by users, together with the management and the Minister of Health, to highlight the joint effort to bring management and frontline employees closer together by recognizing dedicated and passionate work.
Service ratings were collected by the service user (SAU) at the bedside and also through complaints, grievances and compliments boxes available in both units.
During the event, the three most commended employees of the month share their experiences with members of the administration, including Albino Luciano, Minister of Health; Laiana Calderaro, Chair of the Management Committee of HMS, PSM and UPA; and Melanie Mauer, Quality and Service User (SAU) Coordinator. In addition, 10 certificates were awarded to the most commended staff in the 24 Hour Emergency Care Unit (UPA) and HMS. They include a doctor, a resident doctor, nurses, nursing technicians, a manager, a general services assistant, physical therapists and a janitor.
In this first edition, Maria Rosanne, General Services Assistant at HMS; Alice D'Souza, HMS nursing technician; and Ezequias de Sousa Lima, UPA concierge, were highlighted for providing humanitarian services.
“This is an important achievement for us. Through Café Pai D'égua, we not only want to acknowledge the hard work of our employees, but also build a closer and more understanding relationship between the management and the team. I am very happy to meet the Minister of Health, Albino Luciano, emphasized These employees and to be able to congratulate them on their humanity and compassion.
Melanie Mawer highlighted the importance of promoting humanization.

Among the honorees is Maria Rosanne, who has worked as a Public Services Assistant at HMS for 6 years and holds a degree in Pedagogy. She is known for her cheerful personality and humane approach to patients.
