WHarles Leclerc did what no one from Monaco had ever done: he won the Monaco Grand Prix for the first time in Formula 1.
The Ferrari driver left pole position and dominated 70 laps around the Principado circuit. Leclerc, who had been chasing victory in Monaco for several years, was finally able to break the deadlock and claim the top spot on the podium in his home country.
With images that will last for generations to come, May 26 will certainly remain forever in the memory of the Monaco driver, who now has 138 points in the Formula 1 World Championship. The 26-year-old is in second place, behind Max Verstappen, who has 169 points.
