Ishwar Din has been working on an unusual project for the past two months. He spent approximately 2,800 euros to convert a used car into a helicopter, but in the final stage the authorities seized the car.
A man from India's Uttar Pradesh state worked tirelessly to turn a used car into a helicopter, but saw his dream project collapse when local police confiscated it for not having a road licence.
Ishwar Din, a professional sculptor, told Agence France-Presse: “I was taking the car to paint it, but the police fined me and asked me to remove parts of the helicopter, saying that this is not allowed.” Reuters.
Dean spent about 250,000 rupees (nearly 2,800 euros) modifying the car and worked day and night for the past two months on the project, hoping to use it at weddings as a decorative piece. The intention was to rent it as decoration and the intention was not to use it as a personal vehicle.
Dean added: “This type of vehicle operates in several places like Bihar, Pratapgarh, etc., and no one prevents it, but here I was banned from using it.”
Local police say that the car was seized and banned from driving on the roads, because it did not have any trading license.
