As a way to wrap up National Early Childhood Education Week, the ESF Quilombo team, at the support point located in the Choro community, carried out a brushing activity and oral health guidance, on Saturday afternoon (27/8), at Emilio Ribas Municipal School.
Procedures were performed by Oral Health Assistant (ABS), Helena Magalhães, and Community Health Agents (ACS) Edivalda Lopes and Taisa Caetano Porto. In addition, there was a preventive group in the health unit for women who do not have access to the service during the week.
The unit’s supervisor, Kelly Cristina Vieira Rodriguez, stresses the importance of this type of activity in the school environment. “We know that it is very important to do work in schools, because the school is a rich facility for health promotion,” he noted.
Last Friday morning (26/8), I held a chat session with the students of the seventh year of the Municipal School Ottavio Olympio de Oliveira. The procedure was proposed by the ESF Tietê team, with the aim of assisting students in various topics.
In this opportunity, psychologist Romero Marcius, of the Family Health Support Center (NASF) 03, discussed symptoms of anxiety among school children, especially in the post-pandemic period. The initiative was attended by 40 students and school staff.
